We do not offer golf programmes to be trendy, but because we are golf enthusiasts who have been teaching and practising the sport for years!  High quality courses from beginner level up to Handicap 5 are available.

Content

For each destination, AGT and GSL offers the choice of between two and five golf courses, training centres approved by the PGA and  fully equipped practice areas.  Between 4 and 6 hours of teaching is provided per week, covering: swing technique, putting, pitching, chipping, bunker recovery and more. Each student has individual mini-sessions with an instructor to enable him/her to benefit fully from the course. Our teachers help students find  a suitable rhythm of play, and offer them the means to make real progress. We promote the practice of golf on high quality courses and expect our students to be dressed appropriately (any player not complying with this rule will be refused access to the golf course).

The intensive golf formula

In addition to the basic programme, students have access to an additional golf course (9 or 18 holes) each morning, and have two sessions with professional instructors instead of English lessons. Access to certain golf courses requires a maximum handicap of 25.

According to destination and each student’s personal interests, GSL organizes educational and cultural outings once a week.

Each week they will have access to two golf courses (9 or 18 holes) and three intensive sessions with pros. For  players at a higher level, three 18-hole rounds on first class golf courses are provided, together with two sessions with the “golf surgeons”

intensive practice of sport.  However, as these trips usually take place during  school time, we have not neglected the entertainment aspects of the programme.  A large selection of activities is offered at
weekends, to explore the country and its culture.  In the evening, activities are chosen to provide entertainment for the students and let them meet young local people.

Cultural excursions

Visit of Stratford (the city of Shakespeare), Drayton Manor Park, Black Country Museum, Disney World, Epcot Center, Universal Studios, Sea World, Wet and Wild, The Everglades, the Museum of Christopher Columbus, Casarès, Christ Church, Sheldonian Theatre, Yellowstone Park, Dublin. These attractions have a lot of success among our trainees who will also have the opportunity to visit more cultural sites during language courses because these trips will be of a teaching aid.

Evening Activities

Whatever formula is chosen, students can take part in the evening activities
offered.  These activities are designed for young people to relax by taking part in activities such as bowling, badminton, table tennis, swimming, flamenco dinner, etc.  All formulas include one disco evening a
week, as well as outings to the cinema or  theatre.

Evening activities are always supervised and students are always accompanied back to their lodgings. Students of 17 and older can take partin additional activities, such as outings to the pub or a night club. These outings are always supervised, but the young person must prior written permission to participate from his parents.
